Or is letting your kids walk to school a cRaZy idea? I explore this pressing topic in my piece “She Walks Alone” on Mamalode today. Actually it was on Mamalode yesterday, but I was at the beach. Hey, everybody needs a day off sometimes. Plus, it’s the only way to keep the kids’ brains from melting and oozing out their ears from the non-stop electronics fests they have when I don’t take them to the beach or pool or store or movies or bowling or mini-golfing or zoo or museum or a friend’s house or bike riding or a theme park or a water park or a park park. Did I miss anything?
I mean, have you been reading my time line lately? (Note: you should always be reading my Twitter time line. Always.)
So crazy rolls out of bed & goes directly 2 the computer. Thinking about just wheeling a table up next 2 his bed 2 save him a step.

So when I had the opportunity to take them to the beach, I took it because I’m afraid they won’t be able to learn anything come school time unless it comes from a television or computer screen. I’m not sure they can process anything else.
Anyway, my piece, which I posted on this blog a while back, I reworked and perfected for Mamalode so now you can read the perfect piece over there. It’s about my struggles to form a Coalition of the Willing, a Coalition of the Walking, a Coalition of the Willing to Walk (to school). Can I do it or is it a failed mission? Find out on Mamalode.
