I just wanted to leave you with one final Mother’s Day post to round out Mother’s Day week unless I decide to write another post although that’s not very likely because I’m a mother, which means I’m incredibly sedulous and pretty darn tired.
Anyway, since we’ve been celebrating you and me all week over here in anticipation of the big day when we get to cook and clean and entertain a house full of people, I wanted to write one more little post.
Mother’s day actually came early for me this year. The other day I found out the good people over at the pregnancy and parenting website, What to Expect, liked one of my posts so much they included it in their What’s Buzzing Today section. I’m buzzing! And with any luck I will be on Mother’s Day and so should you.
The article titled, 5 Things to Do on May 7, listed 5 things to do on May 7th (it wasn’t lying), and I was one of them. See?
However, I think one could make a reasonably well-supported argument you could still do them on May 8th, 9th, 10th and, perhaps best of all, May 11th. Any day would be fine, really. After all, I like to think of my essays as timeless classics.
Take the one, Top 10 Reasons I Love My Kid, they included on their list. I can read it over and over and over again. I never tire of reading the sweet, innocent thoughts forming inside the mind of my little boy, but I suppose that’s true of every mother.
The other thing I wanted to mention is the good people over at Chobani asked if I’d like to be included in their blog’s Mamapalooza honoring all the sedulous mamas out there for Mother’s Day.
And I said, “What? Do I want to be honored? Um, hells yeah.”
According to Chobani, Mamapalooza is a week long celebration of mothers because “We think their hard work and dedication deserves more than just one day of recognition.”
Me too! That’s why I started my Mother’s Day Week campaign.
For the Mamapalooza celebration Chobani said, “We’ve interviewed some pretty spectacular mothers” (that’s me!) “about their take on parenting and motherhood.”
So I’m over there some day (not sure which) running my mouth because you don’t get enough of that over here.
That’s about it, but before I go, I’ll leave you with one last bit of parting advice for Mother’s Day because I’m pretty good with Mother’s Day advice, right ladies?
