It’s time for another Tweepeat Tuesday, and I think I got some good stuff for you today. Without further ado I bring you the week in review.
My kid got sick. Most moms loathe this, understandably, but illness works for me.
Because usually it’s like this:
The only problem was the school called and wanted me to come and get him.
Seriously, how would I take better care of him than a nurse? I say let the professionals handle it.
But then I had a bigger dilema.
But Tracy @Momaical had the courage to speak out and stop me. That’s more than I can say for any of you. She’s my only real friend.
Plus, and I didn’t want to advertise this – I just told my friends on Twitter because I know I can trust them – The Kid might be failing out of 6th grade. Well, not the entire 6th grade. Just science class, which to me equals failing out of school, never getting a job because she’s underage, becoming an 11-year-old bum sleeping in the gutter in front of the middle school, looking dirty and disheveled as she watches ruefully all her former 6th grade friends and colleagues shuffling passed, getting an education and moving ahead in life. And I worry. I’ve tried various tactics – yelling, pleading, threatening, grounding. I even had one I thought was fail proof (it was pretty good – I’ll share it with you later) but nothing seemed to work, which leads me to say:
Just once. But, then I saw this tweet and thought maybe this will help.
